Training Dogs Not To Bite

According to statistics, dogs bite more than 4.7 million people annually. This unwanted behavior and often preventable, resulting in lawsuits, medical expenses and sometimes dog euthanasia. As with any dog training problem, how easy or difficult the training is not a dog bite will vary depending on race, age and individual temperament of the dog. However, there are some common techniques that normally help to eliminate biting behavior. If possible, start young. Puppies have a natural inclination to mouth and nip. Although often encouraged by owners who, understandably, see the behavior as cute, considered human is considered a prerequisite for the dog. Good and bad habits start young and be monitored at this early stage. Beyond the age of four weeks, puppies can begin to learn simple commands. When the baby moves his mouth to bite, a gentle but firm "No!" followed by a slight compression of the nose can help. Be careful not to cause the puppy to bite his tongue, however. Take special care not to squeeze too hard or in the nose. The dogs smell receptors are sensitive and delicate, high, inside the nose. You do not want to damage the ability of a dog to smell. Compression is not to punish but to inform. The goal is to help young dog associate the verbal command with something you can understand at that age, it's uncomfortable. Most dogs naturally like having a broken nose at any age. Besides mild disappointment and verbal reminders or physical restraint, socialize your dog - as young as often as possible - can help promote calm and confident dogs. Fearful dogs are not used to foreigners (whether human or animal), are much more prone to biting behavior. Expose your dog to other (non-aggressive) dogs. The differences in the odor and have triggers that can cause dogs to be distrustful. Its introduction into a variety at a young age can help discourage this response planning. Most dogs naturally inhibits biting when playing with littermates. That cut, but soon learn not to push hard. Enjoy this package of services of the "extension" to include family members, pets and frequent travelers. Keep your pet at first, when the introduction of animals from other families. Contain the animals. Let the slow approach and sniff or have natural behavior. If the body tension, snarling, ears pricked and other indicators of aggression coming. Making children's dog, pat his back and stretch out your hand to the other animals transmitting the scent of your pet. Then allow them to interact. Dogs normally learn bite inhibition of four and a half months, but do not be discouraged if this does not happen that fast. The different races, and so do people. Older dogs, especially those who are unable to repress the early bite, or not socialized, of course, be more difficult for training. Some dogs will never be fully trained not to want to bite. Part of the training is to train people, too. Make sure each dog is able to reach other people or animals. And make sure people are not aware of trying to interact with the dog. If you have an older dog that has a tendency to bite and then spray a small garden with water in it. And sprayed the dogs in the face when needed. You'll soon learn that this is unacceptable behavior. The gradual, persistent, patients usually pay a PET calmer, more playful. That despite the effort, it is better than the cases of bearing fruit.
