Introducing Chinchillas
What the eyes are large buttons, the body of a rabbit, rat ears and tail of a squirrel? Although descriptions help to see a chinchilla, not giving credit to the world's loveliest creature.The Chinchilla is a member of the family of rodents originating in the Andean region of South America. Chinchillas are rodents of the most exotic, his skin thick and soft, and so that their skins are very popular for coats.There skins are basically 2 species of Chinchilla, Chinchilla brevicaudata and Chinchilla lanigera. Both species have long hind legs, short forelegs, four fingers and flexible figures. The C.bevicaudata is often the neck and shoulders and a shorter tail. C.lanigera has a more pointed face, long ears, narrow and thin neck body.Both species were originally introduced in the U.S. to be bred as fur producers. From C.lanigera better suited captivity and play better, C.brevicaudata was eventually abandoned by most of the estate of skin culture. Standard original is the color gray, but when chinchillas trade grew, the demand for variety led to a new trend - changing color. Available colors are beige, silver or pink, White, Black Velvet, Brown, Tan, sapphire, Mosaic, Violet. Initially, relief and other skin samples of the poor were offered as the pet trade. However, as the popularity chinchillas "gone, most are raised as pets. Chinchillas are wild today the U.S. Endangered Species list.Chinchillas good pets as they are small, quiet and clean. Being nocturnal animals, they should have a quiet , dark place to rest during the day.
